Name: Stop Restart Down Website Adwords Script Type: Regular Adwords Script (non-MCC) Description: This Simple script allows you to configure a Google Adwords Script to check if your website is down and inaccessible, if it is down it will pause all the campaigns that has the label you assigned this script to pause. If the site comes back up, the script will restart the campaigns. Configuration: 1. Create 2 new labels insdie your Google Adwords Account (a) APLink - this label will be used to mark what campaigns to pause if the website goes down(becoming unavailable). (b) APLinkPause - this label will be used to mark what campaigns were paused due to website going down, so when it's time to restart, the script will pick up all campaigns with this label and restart it. 2. Select all the campaigns you want to pause if your site is down and then assign the (a) APLink label. 3. Configure the Adwords script replace the domain name you want to check. 4. Schedule (a) Schedule Hourly (b) Schedule 2, 3, 4 or 5 daily checks at different times of the day. You will need to copy this script into however many times you want this to run. Testing: 1. create a campaign with a few test adgroups. tag the campaign with the APLink label. 2. supply the domain name with a domain that doesn't exists so it will fail. 3. run the script. (if this fail, make sure you have the secondary label APLinkPause) 4. the campaign should be paused. 5. change the domain name to an existing and accessible domain. 6. rerun the script. 7. the campaign should now be enabled.
