Description of Bid To Position AdWords Script<\/h2>\n

Name: Bid to Position Adwords Script<\/strong><\/p>\n

Type: Regular Adwords Script (non-MCC)<\/p>\n

Description: This Simple script allows you to update (on a schedule) your keyword bid until you reach a desired\u00a0keyword average position. The position is defined inside your label bid2pos=1.5 for instance. The\u00a0script will pick the keyword with this label, check the current position and increase or decrease your keyword bid\u00a0to get your keyword to the desired position.<\/p>\n

Scenario 1: if average position is below your desired position, the script will increase the bid everytime the script runs.<\/p>\n

Scenario 2: if average position is above your desired position, the script will decrease the bid everytime the script runs.<\/p>\n

Sample use case 1 \u2013 by conversion:
\nHigh Converting keywords can be placed at position 1.5 with the label bid2pos=1.5
\nLow Converting keywords can be place at poistion 2.5 with the label bid2pos=2.5
\nNew keywords can be place at position 2.0 with the label bid2pos=2.0<\/p>\n

Sample use case 2 \u2013 by match type:
\nExact keyword can be placed at position 1.5 with the label bid2pos=1.5
\nPhrase keyword can be placed at position 2.0 with the label bid2pos=2.5
\nBroad keyword can be placed at position 3.75 with the label bid2pos=2.0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s impossible to do this manually. So we don\u2019t have to compute the amount of time you\u2019ll be able to save.<\/p>\n

Script Variation 102:<\/strong><\/p>\n

All features in the standard version with the following additional features:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Allows max cpc bid limit – the script will allow you to set your maximum cpc for all your keywords.<\/li>\n
  • Logging max cpc bid limit reached – the script will allow you to log each keyword that reached\u00a0your max cpc limit and put it in a spreadsheet so you can review at a later date.<\/li>\n
  • Logging also includes notifying an email address, so you will be alerted whenever the spreadsheet is updated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Script Variation 202:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    All features in Variation 102 with the following additional feature:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Allows keyword level max bid setting, this overrides the script level max cpc set in script variation 1.<\/li>\n
    • Format of the label to use this feature: bid2pos=1.5,maxcpc=12 this means I want the keyword to stay in position 1.5 but I only want to bid up to a max cpc of $12.00 (or whatever your currency is)<\/li>\n
    • Allows you to set what hour of day to run-say you schedule this script to run hourly. Allows you to set what day of week to run say you set this script to run daily or hourly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
